my wife`s first ultrasound
so after a few months of planned `attempts` my wife is pregnant *golf claps*. We found out a few weeks ago - I had come home from the office (hard work - putting tiny pieces of jewelry into bubble shipping envelopes all day...), and we were eating dinner in front of the TV instead of at the dining room table (we occasionally do that) and next to the remote control (literally) she had discreetly placed an EPT (early pregnancy test) stick with a blue `+` sign (positive for pregnant).
Obviously, I was very happy, but feeling a little embarrassed about her selection of `presentation method`, my immediate, albeit joking response was "you peed on that, and left it on the table? eeeew" which immediately was responded to with light, repeated slaps on my arm...
We went for our first ultrasound today. At first the doctor had estimated we were currently at 9 1/2 weeks, but according to the ultrasound we`re `only` at 9 weeks. Still can`t tell the family, according to the wife. Oh, I guess this means the pregnancy jewelry she was wearing for Yoga (flexible jewelry - I`m not just the owner I`m also a member...) is now officially `pregnancy` jewelry now.
In any case, she`s able to keep the jewelry in during ultrasounds too. The technician (a guy) was very cool about the whole thing and said there`s really no reason to remove it for testing (my wife was `discussing` the possibility that she might have to remove it).
