I just wanted to email you guys and share my experience that my wife and I had with your jewelry...

My wife had been humming and hawing for a couple of months about whether she wanted to get her navel pierced.  She`d see other women with pierced navels - dangly butterflies, flowers hearts, basic banana bars... "oooh... I really want to get one, but I dunno....".

Even her good friend and neighbor Ginny had one.

Finally, we were at the mall one afternoon and she said to me "lets do it - I`m ready". I called a local tattoo/piercing shop and explained "my wife is ready for a navel piercing....she`s been unsure, but I think she`s really going to do it this time.  Just wanted to give you guys a heads up in case she changes her mind once we get there"
"No problem - how far away are you?"
"uh - about 20 minutes by bus. We`re over by Northgate Mall ."
"I`ll see you in 5 - I`m just driving by that area".
(wow - how cool is that?)
So we waited a few minutes and there he was!  We hopped in and we casually sat in traffic as he wound his way over toward his shop.

We arrived at his shop and "it all happened so fast".  We selected a piece of your pregnancy jewelry at the recommendation of the piercer - apparently he`s made the move to ONLY pierce with your jewelry.

It was basically:

• stand feet parallel, shoulder width apart
  
• hold the navel bar up to her tummy to see how it would `hang`
  
• mark the dots with a surgical skin marker for piercing guides
  
• sit in the chair (reclined)
  
• alcohol swab the area to pierce
  
• presterilized needle with some lubricating jelly
  
• `zoop!` through the skin (yes, she winced a bit but admitted it wasn`t all that bad)
  
• snip it to size (leaving a little extra length for swelling) and push the ball onto the top

And that was it! a couple of weeks later we pulled the ball off, snipped it with nail clippers a little bit at a time until we got it to the length she wanted, and she`s never taken it out since!

Now if only I could get her to stay away from the mirror in the hallway...she spends what seems like the whole evening with her shirt pulled up above her tummy, turning a little left, a little right, watching the light shimmer off the gem, with a big smile on her face.
